About Us
Johnson Junction was founded in 1980 by Ralph and Barbara Johnson. When Ralph retired in 1999, his daughter and son-in-law, Brent and Darlene Stanley took over the business. As the years went on, their children Nick Stanley & Megan Reckelhoff joined the business and eventually became the new and current owners.
In 2015 the name was shortened to “JJ’s” along with the introduction of a new logo to represent Johnson Junction.
August 2018 came with the addition of two additional Convenience Stores and a QuickLube, then four years later in August 2022 the Travel Plaza was acquired, all from our friends at Gallahan Oil Company.
JJ's serves the Huntington, Decatur, Berne, Peru, and Bunker Hill Indiana regions, employing over 150 individuals from these communities. We operate 7 convenience stores, the Travel Plaza / Truck Stop, JJ Java (a coffee shop), 2 fast oil change centers, and a laundromat.
Ralph passed on to eternal life with Jesus on 2/24/2022, and we work everyday to continue his legacy.
